Our local Orchard has gorgeous peaches. A bushel sounds gigantic, but it doesn’t last long in the Teague house. We eat as many as we can before they are too ripe, and then quickly chop and freeze and can Spiced Peach Preserves. I feel very Little-House-on-the-Prairie when I put away food for the winter.
This recipe marks the first time I ever met my dear friend, Jan. She’s like a momma, mentor, best friend, auntie, therapist all in one. The day I walked into her kitchen to learn preserve making was one of the best gifts of my life.
