Everywhere I look I see beauty.
Ok, let me rephrase that: everywhere I look outside of my house, I see beauty. Pinterest, blogs, photography sites, Instagram… I’m bombarded with how gorgeous everyones’ lives are, and it leaves me feeling ugly, inadequate, dissatisfied. The irony here is that I do indeed live a beautiful life. I have a lovely home, a variety of food to choose from, a closet overflowing with name brand clothes, healthy and happy kids, bookshelves full of hand picked literature, a thriving little garden, a loving husband, a reliable car, and more friends than I deserve.
So here’s my mission for the next 30 days. I’m setting out to see the pretty in my world and document it as I see it. I’m so lucky to have the camera of my dreams and lenses I love. I’ve neglected using my big girl camera to capture my own family, my own life, my own nest, instead using it for other people’s families, then tucking it away. Boo. No More.
I resolve to open my eyes, to throw away discontent, to live and walk in joy and thankfulness.
