FAMILY | Meet the Browns

Meet The Browns.

Suzanne and I were in the same homeschool coop for years before we actually spoke, but when we did, we were instantly friends.  She taught me how to sew complicated projects and we laughed at our crazy stories while the kids played in the background.  Hours fly by when we are together.
Her husband is Basketball Coach for ORU and their life revolves around his schedule- practices, games, tournaments,  and they know how to have fun!  Suzanne educates me on pop culture and when she gets a new Anthro shirt, I feel like I got one too.  I invite her over when I need help with crafting and she brings me food when I have surgery.
I love her.  I’m so thankful for her and her children and that our children are friends.

Loved spending a sunny evening with you all.

FAMILY | Parsons

oh my sweet friend. She’s been an inspiration since the first time we met. Her mama bear love for her children, her dedication to their spiritual well being, her advocacy and drive to protect and obtain the best care possible for her Cooper- I admire her and love her so much.
Thank you for being my friend all these years. You’re so beautiful, inside out and upside down.

K and R Kiddos

I started photographing these kiddos a few years ago. My, how they have grown- and yes, I feel like a grandma saying that.  Following them around, watching them hug and love each other is just so sweet.

I love seeing cousins stay close and makes me wish my cousins were close too.
So much fun to hang out with you all last week!!!

FAMILY | An Evening with the Rose Family

It’s always a pleasure and privilege to photograph friends. I spend a couple of hours as part of the family- circling and hovering, inside and out, listening and giggling, catching secret kisses and quiet moments.
I’ve been friends with Libby for years now. Our oldest girls have grown into young ladies, babies have been born, school days have been hard, and we’ve walked this road together supporting and encouraging in sweet intimacy. I’m so thankful for her friendship and the way she loves my children, prays for my family, and challenges me in my art.
I love you dear friend. You’re a treasure.

FAMILY | The Bucks and a Saturday Morning

These are my friends. I love the Bucks and they way they love each other. Running through their magical yard on a Saturday morning was the perfect ending to a long week. I’m so thankful we could squeeze in your session before you left town, and I’ll be missing you like crazy this summer!

my little big girl

happilysituatedmaggieSo here’s the truth:

My little baby girl is not so little anymore.  Actually she’s quite grown up all of the sudden and I’m feeling kinda stunned.  She’s lovely and kind and thoughtful.  She’s a stinker and likes to have her own way.  She’s modest and concerned about bigger things than the typical teenage girl stuff.

I have friends who remember her as a baby, and friends who have come to know her as the young woman she is now. And friends, let me just tell you, my momma heart is hurting a bit.  She’s big and responsible and a few years from driving a car and I don’t like it because I can’t remember all the moments that have gone by to get us to today.

But here we are and I’m going try harder to see her beauty, her heart, her smile and love her minute by minute.

Oh my darling girl.  Please stop growing up so fast.

FAIRY TALE | Little Miss Muffet

Little Miss Muffet
Sat on a tuffet,
Eating her curds and whey;
Along came a spider,
Who sat down beside her,
And frightened Miss Muffet away.

This is the first of many in the Fairy Tale Series which will be rolling out soon.

I’m so pleased to see my dreams come to life.
