These people. I have no words for the love and thanks I have for them. God blessed our family in an incredible and immeasurable way when the Rundles moved in across the street. Four years seems like a lifetime of friendship.
Lauren, you are so beautiful. But your beauty isn’t just skin deep- it is a beauty that overflows from your heart because of the love and joy and peace you carry within. You are generous and thoughtful and creative and fun. Your hugs are the best. Your hospitality is such a comfort, your love for my children a treasure. I think of you everyday and pray for you as you walk through motherhood and marriage. You are brave and sincere and lovely.
Thank you for being my friend and letting me kiss all over Mathilda. Thank you for every moment we get to have you in our home- on good days and on bad. Thankful, thankful, thankful. You’re one of my life’s best gifts.

God brings the most amazing folks into my life.
Two summers ago, while visiting the PNW to shoot a wedding, I was reacquainted with this gal: Mrs. Anne Hartzell of Hip Travel Mama. She the next door neighbor/best friend/almost sister of one of my best friends, Kristen.
I think we instantly connected.
And then my Kristen was diagnosed with Cancer and Anne reached out to me, filling me in on the rough days and the heart aches and the everyday. And we connected even more.
It became a goal, literally a New Year’s Resolution of 2014, to produce a video with Anne and HTM. So when Expedia sent her on a Storybook trip, my dream came true!
We met briefly in Sedona, AZ where she and her husband Troy were having a romantic get-away. The resort was breath-taking and anyone could see how quickly the soul would settle, relationships would reconnect, God would spill out and over anyone visiting this part of the country.
We headed back to Seattle, WA and continued to film the everyday, busy life of a family of four. And we drank a lot of coffee, ate a lot of pho, and talked and talked and talked. I love this woman. She’s brave and strong spirited, a devoted mother and wife and friend, smart and sensitive, creative, and so, so fun.
Thank you, Anne, for inviting me to collaborate on this project. I loved every single minute of our time together. Let’s do it again.
You can find this video over at Expedia.
I’ve been dreaming up a steampunk shoot for quite sometime, collecting little things here and there at estate sales and thrift stores. And when I saw Lewis, I knew he was the perfect guy for the job. The day was rainy and cool, and between drizzles we snuck off to play in a junk yard not far from the house.
I love the darkness and seriousness of our session, uncommon for my bright and colorful style. So thankful this little guy was game for his Auntie’s crazy ideas. He made my dreams a reality.

I’ve had the honor knowing this family for a few years and count Mindee as one of my dear friends. She is lovely, inside and out, and her daughters are so blessed to have her has their momma. She is creative, delightful to be around, hospitable, kind and generous. Of course, her girls are the same.
I loved celebrating Ivy’s first birthday with a little cake smash and bubble bath. Her sweet little face is so expressive and her reaction to the icing is priceless.
Happiest of days, little one. You are dearly loved.

Is there a better way to scrub up after a cake smash than a bubble bath out in the garden? .jpg)

Earlier this month I went on a big adventure (more to come on this soon!) I connected with my darling friend, Anne Taylor Hartzell of Hip Travel Mama. One evening we snuck away for a family shoot with her amazing husband and two beautiful daughters. Here are a few favorites from a gorgeous evening.
